The Monroeville Republican Committee is a group of volunteers working together to promote Republican ideals and to support local Republican candidates. We are the grassroots of the Republican Party in Monroeville. We are committed to promoting these Republican principles and getting more Republican candidates elected.
Greetings and welcome to the Monroeville Republican Committee (MRC)! Happy Winter 2022/2023!
Many of you read the book "1984" by George Orwell when required back in high school. We all see many of the negative aspects of Orwell's dystopian society coming true today. We are at a turning point in our national life. But there is hope!
Please keep in mind the expression: all politics begin locally. This is the time for you to become active and this is the organization for you to get involved with that makes a positive difference. As Chair of the MRC, I want to share with you some thoughts on our goals moving forward. The MRC organized several decades ago, and similar to most volunteer organizations, our group had its ups and downs. Currently, our team is in an upbeat mode. We are sparked with enthusiasm to ignite the Fires of Freedom. The MRC is networking and activating Monroeville Republicans to change their outlook from "I don't know what to do" to the more passionate mindset of "I can make changes by actually doing something." There are a lot of problems these days. I like to dwell on solutions. If you feel similarly and want to do just a little more than watch the news and say, "What a shame", please contact me directly at the bottom of this MRC homepage. Together we can go the extra mile to make positive changes in our community.
One example of involvement is the age-old concept of the Neighborhood Committeeman (or woman). Come to our next meeting or contact me to find out more.
The General Election on November 8, 2022 is behind us and we did not reach the goals that some of us tried so hard to attain. I say "some" because we really need to have more players on our team. Imagine the Pittsburgh Steelers going out on the field with 5 players against the Cincy Bungles' (In the words of the beloved Myron Cope) line of 11. Who is going to win every game? NOW is the time for all of us get in the election boat, grab an oar, and start rowing in the same direction so we get the Republican candidates over that finish line before their opponents.
The next election is the Primary on May 16, 2023. What offices are up this cycle? SIX seats on the Gateway School Board and THREE Monroeville Council seats-one each in Wards 2, 4 and 6. There will be several PA judicial offices on the ballot also that we will scrutinize later.
This is not rocket science. Just a desire and dedication to make things better in your community and, quite honestly, save our beloved country. The Monroeville Republican Committee welcomes and encourages any level of involvement you are comfortable to offer this committee. Our team invites you to join us at our next regular monthly membership meeting on the last Thursday of each month. Do you know any disenchanted Democrats looking for liberty based, pro free-enterprise, and small government society? Bring them to the meeting or call/email me anytime to talk about it. It would be a pleasure to talk/meet with them and you. Please reach out to me anytime with your questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Len Young

The Monroeville Republican Committee (MRC) hold monthly meetings to meet Republican candidates, discuss local issues, plan our campaign strategy and fund-raising activities, and enjoy the company of fellow Republicans. We stand against the fallacy that people are being told that America is a democracy. Rather, America is a representative republic. It is clear that government often does things that it should not do. We invite you to attend our meetings and we welcome your participation. The MRC generally meets the last Thursday of each month at 7pm unless moved due to holiday conflicts.
